College teachers in Meghalaya along with their counterparts across the country, observed 'Demand Day' on Wednesday (April 19) to pressurize the central government to publish the 7th UGC Pay Review Committee's report and National Education Policy.

Members of the MCTA wore black badges as a sign of protest and held meetings at their respective colleges on Wednesday against the alleged indifference of the authorities towards their pending demands, including greater funds allocation for teaching and research and appointment of teachers against all vacant posts.
