The 32nd Biennial General Conference of Meghalaya College Teachers’ Association (MCTA) was held on the 7th of April ,2017 at St. Edmund's College, Shillong. In the Conference, new office bearers for the term 2017 to 2019 were elected. Dr. (Ms) B.H. Buam (CTE PGT), was re-elected as the President and Prof. Amanda Basaiawmoit (Shillong College) was elected as the General Secretary. Prof. M. Tariang (St. Edmund’s College) and Prof. S. Khongsit (Lady Keane College) were the newly elected Vice Presidents. Prof. S. Pradhan (St. Anthony’s College), Prof. B. Myrboh (Synod College), Dr. P. Sarkhel (St. Edmund’s College), Prof. F. Diengdoh (St. Anthony’s College), Dr. M. Kharryngki (Synod College) and Dr. D. Nongbri (Lady Keane College) were the six Joint Secretaries. 15 Executive Members were also elected. As a teacher organization the Meghalaya College Teachers' Association extends its moral support to the ongoing agitation of the Meghalaya SSA School Association, a conglomeration of SSA and 4th Teaches' of the state.
