MCTA will continue to protest against the management of St. Edmunds' College.
The Meghalaya College Teachers' Association (MCTA) has been protesting against the management of St. Edmunds' College for their lackadaisical treatment of it's teaching staff and the arbitrary termination of service of Mr. Jeffreyson Wahlang since the 1st of July 2019 till date. The MCTA states that its programme of agitation and protest will continue unabated until its demand for the reinstatement of Mr. Jeffreyson Wahlang among other service-related demands are met. However, keeping in mind the interest of the student community, the Association has decided to opt for other modes of protest without disrupting regular classes. Its stance remains unchanged. The protest will be unrelenting and indifference, apathy or disregard by the College management towards the Association's demands will result in intensified agitations.
Earlier, MCTA organised a peaceful sit in protest at Additional Secretariat parking lot against the arbitrary and unjustifiable termination of the services of Prof. Jeffreyson Wahlang from St. Edmunds' College, Shillong.
