Meghalaya College Teachers' Association organised a "Sit in Dharna" as part of the protest against the management of St. Edmunds' College, Shillong
On Thursday, 11th July 2019, all units of the Meghalaya College Teachers' Association organised a "Sit in Dharna" as part of the protest against the management of St. Edmunds' College, Shillong. The demand to resolved college matters and to reinstate Asst. Professor Jeffreyson Wahlang. The "Sit in Dharna" was organised for a time of 30 minutes, such that classes are not disturbed.
As part of the ongoing protest, the Meghalaya College Teachers' Association (MCTA) appeals to the general public including students and past pupils empathising with the cause of the teachers in their protest against the management of St. Edmund's College to kindly express their support by returning any kind of souvenir, memorabilia, magazines or any other item associated with St. Edmund's College to the college main gate itself on the 12th of July, 2019, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. This is an act of protest against the management for their complicity in bringing discredit to the prestige of the Edmundian community.
