Meghalaya College Teachers Association 50th Foundation Day
The Meghalaya College Teachers' Association celebrated its 50th Foundation Day
today the 12th April 2022 at Lady Keane College, Shillong. The celebration
started with an inaugural session where Dr. W. R. Kharlukhi, Member of
Parliament, Rajya Sabha graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Shri. D. P.
Wahlang, Add'l Chief Secretary, Government of Meghalaya and Prof. T. K.
Kharbamon, Vice-Chancellor, MLCU as Guests of honour.

The inaugural function was followed by a Panel Discussion on "Status of
Education in Meghalaya: A Retrospection". The panel discussion was moderated by
Dr. S. Varghese, Department of Phillosophy, Lady Kean College. The panelists
are Prof. P. Biswas, Department of Philosophy, NEHU, Shri. R. G. Lyngdoh,
Former Vice-Chancellor, MLCU and Smt. P. Mukhim, Editor The Shillong Times.
The celebration concludes with a Cultural Programme where various units of
MCTA presented different items.
